Polaris Ranger Issues
#1
Hello,
I have owned a Ranger for about a year and one half. Since then, I have learned to HATE this product. The vehicle is virtually impossible to work on. A belt change can take as long as two hours to complete half way.
Recently the unit began hauling back on exceleration, seems that the cam shaft is worn and the head is screwed. During my work on the machine I did notice that the air filter was soaked with oil. The oil level for the engine is checked regularlly and is full.
With this said, and the machine used for light loads on a daily basis can nay one forward what might cause such a failure. The wonderful dealer I took it into, who took a month to look at it,,,is forwarding that the vehicle has been with out oil at some period of time to have caused this damage.
I am a guy who has a bobcat front loader that is so well maintained you could eat of the engine, so the dealers comment really pissed me off. I would love any imput...
