Default Out of the ATVs for awhile, best sporty sbs?

Been out of action for awhile ( couple 2-3 years worth )with some injuries. My Raptor hasnt been run in over a year even though it needs 15 minutes worth of work. Anyhow due to my present broken down old man syndrome I've been looking at sbs rigs such as the Polaris RZR or even a Rhino.

Back a few years ago Polaris didnt have the best rep for reliability but as far as I can see the RZR is really in a class by itself.

What's the latest on the best sporty side by side type rig out there? I'd definitely want 4x4 and as fast as possible. Narrow is a plus even at the cost of some handling.

The regular RZR is 50" wide in stock form. There is another version called the RZRs and it is made for the more open areas like the Southwestern part of the US. But the extra wide A-arms make it about 72", so it won't fit through those 50-54 inch gates that are out there on some trails. The S can go 63mph with a 55 hp engine. The regular RZR goes 60 or so. I've seen a limited amount of both the RZR and the Rhino. People I've talked that have them had nothing but good to say about them. I followed a guy with a RZR at high speed through some football sized rocks on a trail and was having a hard time keeping up. It looked like it was really soaking up the rocks and bumps very well.

The RZR is the best for pure sport but has zero utility potential. It really depends how you want to use it. The Prowler 1000 would probably be the fastest out of the box.

Personally, I love my teryx but I wish I had a Ranger. I think Polaris makes a dang nice sxs.

I drove one of those 500cc Rhino clones and I'm not saying they aren't worth consideration but they sure are slow and the build quality is not as good. It was way underpowered imo for anything but hard-pack. I would advise anyone to drive one before you buy. Also, you should consider resale value.

If you say so. BTW, I wouldn't call your's a clone unless it shares interchangeable parts. If it's the Hart Cart/Roketa/BMX, you'd be the first to claim it does. I'm actually a fan of Linhai Yamaha, which I know was used in those but I also know there is nothing special about those engines.

Polaris was advertising the RZR for $9,999 a few months ago and I gave $8,500 otd for mine. You can buy a 450 Rhino for what you're asking.

Crazy, but at least not in an axe wielding way.
