Carter Talon CVT belt problem
#1
We have a Carter Talon GX150IIR. I have replaced the CVT drive belt 3 times in the last month. It runs fine for about a week then somehow the belt is getting chewed up. The clutch assembly looks fine and I can't figure out what's happening to the belt. I have researched the belt on several sites to ensure I'm getting the right length and am fairly positive it's the right size. Any ideas what could be the problem.
Thank you,
Shane

Yes, I actually replaced the whole assembly the first time. I really feel like the belt is to short even though every site says it's the right one. I have to squeeze the clutch together to get the belt to fit. I thought the belt should be loose fitting.
