90 falcon needs help

I welded the front end and didn't disconnect the + cable from the battery.So I changed the 10 amp glass fuse.Too a 20 amp new plastic type because it was getting the wires hot and blowing fuses.now it still is making the wires very hot when i turn it over.I did clean brushes in starter and it looked ok no burn areas ect,and it still got hot blow a fuse PLEASE HELP

repost this thread in the chinese section or the kids atv section. it'll get more attention faster over there. BUT, in the meantime, you should only have a 7 amp fuse between the battery and the solenoid/starter. it's blowing fuses for a reason and we'll get to the bottom of it shortly. you just don't need to burn the quad down in the interim and have a total meltdown of the wiring harness or burn up the starter.
