but do you guys think they will be able to come out with good clean two strokes before the ban. and once banned its gonna be a b1tch to get them unbanned? it just might be too late. who knows maybe they will come out with good ones quicker then we think

 

I doubt there is ever going to be a complete ban on 2 stroke motors. Although there are very few companies interested in 2 stroke ATV's, all the outboard companies are putting tons of $s into making their 2 strokes cleaner and making new models of 2 strokes. If those companies believed that an all out ban on 2 strokes was immanent I dont believe they would be doing so. I can’t imagine that anyone would have better info on the matter than they do.

I am happy with the quads I have anyway. Even if there is a ban on production, as long as they dont ban making replacement parts all is well for guys who prefer quads such as 250r's and lt500r's.

In fact, some of us might be better off. I dont want them to make some 8000$ 700cc powervalved monster right after I finish restoring my LT500 and make my Quad only the second fastest.

 

I think the real reason they are not making 2 strokes now is that there are more people now buying Raptors than Banshees. The Predator, KFX700 and z400 can’t be helping, they are selling a ton of them. I can’t believe how many people are buying KFX700s. A four stroke with an auto tranny is swell in a utility bike but I wouldn’t have anything to do with it in a sport bike.
