mudlites or bearclaws for rincon
#1
just curious to see if anybody has any experience with these tires on their rincons, and how you would rate them for all around use; I"m hoping not to lose too much steering and ride quality , or power loss as this machine works great now !, and would like to retain these qualities. Thanks in advance for the input.

I don't know how the bearclaws are on the Rincon but I just put new 26" mudlites on my Rincon and really like them. I considered some more aggressive tires but, like you, I didn't want to compromise handling and overall ride quality too much. I called ITP and spoke to a representitive and he strongly encouraged me to try the mudlites. So far I have to say that I am very happy with them and the ride and handling are still pretty good. In my opinion the mudlites are the best option for an all around utility tire. By the way, because the mudlites have lower wieghts than other tire options you don't have as much of an issue with power loss. My Rincon will turn these tires pretty good when I want to.

Are you guy's saying that utility quads handle worse with 6 ply 26" tires than the stock 4 ply 25" units? Because I know my stock tires on my Foreman suck!!!!! The sidewall just folds over on itself as soon as you go into a corner. I figured the 6 ply tires would have much stiffer sidewall for less roll.

I have the Bearclaws on my machine and think they are a fantastic all around tire. You can't go wrong with either one though. My friend just put the Mud Lites on his Rincon. The only thing he mentioned was the low speed clop they have. They worked great for him in the mud.
My stock tires are 2 ply. They are very easy to turn and are soft in the corners. 6 ply tires requre a bit more strength on heavy cornering but provide a stability that gives you confidence in the corner. I can feel mine bite and hold; without rolling and slipping like the stock ones do.
