Default Honda 300 4x4

A guy I know is willing to sell his 1995 and 1998 honda 300 4x4's for $3500 for both. They are in fairly well running condition. Is this deal worth it? Secondly Im think of installing the warn 424 on one of them, and the other I plan on maybe trading for something like a used 300 ex or 250 ex or maybe even a yamaha wolverine. What would yall recommend for the trade, what should i go for or n e thing like that?

Any feedback in general just on the honda 300 4x4 is welcome and apprecitated. Thanx

you should keep one of the 300s they are UNBREAKABLE! There is a post of the most reliable quad and the 300 gets the vote from almost everyone.

i put a 424 select on my 300 and it wouldn't work,it slipped in 4x4.i told the dealer
and they told me there was a proglem with how deep the ends were bored compared
to the stock propeller shaft .they told me to go to a machine shop and have a spacer made to fill the extra room. well this thing cost me $400(CDN)i wasn't putting any more money into it, so they took it back.although it was very fun te be in 2wd for a change.

Going by the above statement thats a good price. My 98 300 4x4 has been trouble free. I have just done the regular stuff such as oil, filter and air cleaner. It a little slow compared to most of the newer quads but it doesn't have any of the frills either which could lead to problems.

Well I can't recomend "fropping" anything off a building but I can recomend hopping in this pacakge deal....I have ridden on and ridden with trx300's....they go great for what they are and are geared low to haul alot of weight...theres a wealth of modifications avalible from Highlifter.com ....get the 300's...you'll be happy.

MY GOD MAN, UP HERE IN WISCONSIN AT THE DEALER I SELL FOR WE ROUTINELY GET $2,500 TO $3,200 EA. FOR THOSE SAME MACHINES AND WE CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THEM AS EVERYBODY STILL WANT'S TO HAVE ONE. I JUST SOLD A 96' 300 FOR $2,250 LAST WEEK, AND IT WAS A 2X4. SO IF THEY ARE IN ANY REASONABLE CONDITION AT ALL YOU SHOULD ALREADY HAVE THEM.

But do u think im askin to much by askin someone to trade even say like a 96 or 98 300ex for one of those 3004x4's? I would like to have one fast sport bike to have some fun on. And then one good 4x4 bike. Thanx

It never hurts to ask about trades. You could run an ad and ask. If no one responds then you might want to say trade for a sport quad and see what people offer you.
