i used to have a honda 300 & ride on the road alotto gt to trails & i love running from this cop...its fun...anyhways I sold it & got a 400ex & it's exactly what I need.

 

even though i like hondas and would take them over anything get a polaris they go at a fair pace for a utility quad.

 

Most of the quads that have 6 speeds are 2-strokes. They use a close ratio 6 speed tranny in them because 2-strokes don't have a broad powerband like 4-strokes have. They need a closer ratio tranny in them to keep the revs up in the powerband. The few 4-strokes that have them are really under powered so a 6 speed helps them.
