#1
I am 15 almost 16 and i am obssesed with atv's and me and my dad went to our local honda dealer and we looked at a rancher 4x4 ES and they want $4900 with out Tax.But i want a recon and dad wants the rancher but i do not need 4 wheel drive. And he insists on haveing shaft drive so i was intrested in the recon and if the are reliable or not. i have ridden a T wolf 4x4 and like that but my dad dont wanna go to a yamaha dealer for some reason but i was wondering if you have any info on the recon please post it here and if you have pics e-mail me with them please.

lovinhonda- you must be huge or something cuz i am 17 6'1" and 220 pounds, i have ridden my friends recon many of times for more than a hour, and it felt very comfortable to me. they are sweet quads, i would get one if they werent so expensive, i dont have the money for a newer quad, just an 87 250X.

You won't go wrong with the Recon. Not to dog Yamaha but the timberwolf is nowhere near the bike that the Recon is.
I have a 99 Recon and a 97 TRX300 as well as a 99 400ex. I am really impressed with the power of the Recon. I think it has as much if not more power than the 300 and weighs almost 100lbs less. In all fairness, the Recon vibrates more than the 300 but its not bad. Suspension on the Recon is far better than the TRX300. It is just a blast to ride. I would buy it again and again. I like it more now than the day I bought it.
Good luck, you won't go wrong with either the Rancher or the Recon.
