Default Rincon-engine or or tranny problem???

Well it has happened 2x now. I will be going along, 40-50mph, give her some gas and nothing, today it began slowing down until I let off the gas completely. I coasted to about 20mph, gave her some gas and she went up to 55 no problem. both times I was on level, smooth surfaces to where it shouldn't have happened. It almost feels like I am hitting the rev limiter, anybody know what's causing this problem, did I give enough info?

thanks for the help!

that's kinda weird yooper, i've never had mine do that. how long have you had it? sounds like something isn't quite adjusted right if it is running ok otherwise. I haven't heard much in the way of people having physical engine problems, it's mostly been little adjustments here and there with the idling.....had to adjust mine slightly, but it never did that. Actually, it did that once....I sunk it in a creek and it took a while to get all the water out. It would zip along and then lose all power to a standstill, I would rev it up and then it would take off again. Scared me to death for 15 or 20 minutes and then everything worked fine again. That was a few hundred miles back and no problems since.

Sounds like yours was running out of gas, yooper. You sure you're not on the verge of reserve?

Possible dirt in the carb, clogged air filter, loose spark plug. Just a few things you might want to check.

I think it may have been low oil, I was checking things out today and my oil was low. I added some and didn't have any problems today. Unfortunately I may have an oil leak. When I was checking things out I found some oil on the front portion of the engine, so I think I'll give the dealership a call on Mon. and have them check it out, I bought it in the middle of April, so it is still under warranty.

Thanks for the help guys, I'll check those possibilities out to just to rule them out
(full tank of gas so that couldn't have been it)

My Uncle bought a Rincon and it was coughing and sputtering in the water/mud holes. Took it back to the dealer with only 100 kms on it.

Fix: Got it re-jetted and goes like H&ll now!
