Default need help... 2004 Rancher AT or Foreman ES

I Am Purchasing within the next month either a 2004 Rancher AT or Foreman ES.
Primarily for trailriding and mud.
Also what kind of tires would be best for this type of riding for either atv.

I would probably lean a little towards the new Rancher 400. The Foreman is a good work and trail quad with low gearing. The good thing about the Foreman is that you could probably get a 2003 a little cheaper than the new Rancher 400.

There are alot of tires to choose from, Titans 489 or 589 first come to mind.

Well, the Forman 450 is older and proven, the new 400 is just that, new. Will there be any troubles in the first model years??? Who knows.

The forman has manual shift which is nice for mudding, I'm not a fan of autos of any design anyway.

The forman will take up to 27" tires with no need for lift and you can use your stock wheels.

Forman will be cheaper too.

I'd reccommend ITP Blackwater XT's (that's what I have) or the 589's. Both are agressive and offer a decent ride on harpack, vampires and mud bugs don't, I've tried them.
