Default BUYING 03 RANCHER/FOREMAN

I have been looking at Rancher and Foreman. Foreman is $950 more than Rancher. For basic riding and utility is the extra HP worth the cost considering Foreman has the 3rd headlight and instrument stuff (seems like extra maintenance/repair $$$)?

Has anyone had an issue with engine/trans on either unit?

Salesman tried to get me on a Suck-zuki 4x4 demo at a good price but the castings on several components were dirty (not smooth or clean casts). Kaws and Yamahas were clean castings.

I have 2 Honda Ranchers and i love them to death its probaly the best 4 wheeler i have ever owned. But i am not going to tell you that honda is the best there is, other makers manufacture good four wheelers like, Polaris makes a really nice four wheeler ,and so does Suzuki they have the Vinson its a really nice 4 wheeler but then agin it matters what you are going to be using your 4 wheeler for if you are going to just take it deer hunting with you or you are just going on trail rides any 4 wheeler will work. But to answer your question i love my 4 wheelers and there great. I had a 00 it did really well but it was getting older so i traded it in on 2 more but the only problem i would have is that the float would get stuck in the carb and would not regulate the gas flow. So it wolud fload the carb and come out the drain hose but other than than no engin problems ran great. If you have any question email me at codydclark@aol.com

Default BUYING 03 RANCHER/FOREMAN

My Friend was in this same delimna about 6 months ago. He liked the headlight setup on the foreman, the 2 x 25 watt lights with the 40 watt on top. And the Rancher got the 2 x 30. After he test rode the Foreman, he decided on the Rancher, because he was mostly going to play on it. The foreman is an all out work machine, if your going to use it for work, that is the quad to get. But my friend thought the ride was too stiff for him if he was going to play on it, and went with the Rancher ES.
