I'm fixing a 1984 200 BIG RED, and the choke keeps flipping up while driving and floods the engine out... choke handle broken and wondering how to keep the choke from flipping up??? It starts flowing out the overflow and then the carbs flood and the dang the dies, takes a while to get it going again!

P.S. It's my uncles but I done a couple mods to it... made it into a 4 wheeler.

Of course the obvious remedy would be to buy a new carb, but since it's an 84 & not really yours that's probly not an option. What about a zip tie? Is there any place where you could hook the other end to after hooking it over the choke lever, leaving just enough slack to remove it when you need to choke the engine?

Thanks, I never thought of that.... but, I did try a bailertwine trick, it wasn't strong enough to keep the lever off (Kept sliding off!)

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated!
