OMG...Finally the trx450r is here!!!!!!!!
as was stated on here before about the inevitable HONDA release.... and I will quote it again....

it will dominate..... no doubt about it.... as bad @$$ as the new YZF is, the Honda's are traditionally better handling, lighter, and more reliable than the Yammies..... so if it's got the power, then it will surely rule the roost... probably for another decade or 2, just like the R has done since the 80's

Well, since all you folks are jumping on the celebration bandwagon.... I'll remain skeptical until I can see it, touch it, sit on it, and fart on the seat!!!!
A cartoon isn't much proof for me, especially since Honda has been letting the "rumor" mill run wild for years.
I'm still waiting on the TRX500R that was due out in Nov of '87.. 'cause the dealer told me it was comming [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
Don't get me wrong... It would be COOL as heck to have another contender... hopefully not a de-tuned version of the bike.

The competion for it will be the yzf450 and old 250rs not a predator!The predator weighs like 70 pounds more than the yfz and either of these new quads would probably be better for motocross no offence!

I've been quoted! Thanks DSAPP. That is actually the title of a Ray Bradbury book who is better know as the Star Trek creator. I always thought it had an ominous sound.
The most chilling quote I ever heard though MIGHT even be appropriate now. After the first successful A-Bomb test, Robert Oppenheimer quoted an ancient Hindu text, "I am become death, destroyer of worlds"
Maybe the TRX450R will be the "death and destroyer" of all in the ATV market? Time will tell.

IMO, the cartoon is suspect. i think they have every intention on producing this quad. But i don't think it exists today. they rushed the animation to quiet the thunder from Yamaha. ie; my plan was to purchase a yfz next year, after it's had a year on the tracks. now i'll wait...on the honda news alone.my fear is this quad won't be available until summer 04.
on a brighter note. this should reduce the price of the Z's, YFZ's and predators. force next years YFZ into the 450cc range and breath new life into the racing seen.
