Default Rancher winch question..

Hi everyone! I'm about to put a winch on my '02 Rancher, but i can't believe the price for the bracket!! I know my brother-in-law (welder for 26 yrs) could make one easily, but I'd like to have a picture of one to show him. Can anyone help?? The cheapest I can find a bracket for around here is about $100 Canadian. Not a rediculous price, I suppose, but considering how simple it is........

I have a 2003 Honda Rancher Es 350 4x4, and I order my winch and mount plate from www.rockymountainatv.com. and it was not that high. I paid 75 or 80 for the mount plate

Default Rancher winch question..

I had a winch on my Recon and I couldn't believe what the mounting kit consisted of. It had a flat metal plate with holes in it and some clamps that mounted it to the frame. Two bolt holes to mount the winch on the metal plate and I think four more to put the bolts through to tighten to clamps around frame. (Up in front where the frame starts to angle back.) It really shouldn't be too hard to make something for your Rancher. The only other thing you'd need is a roller fairlead.

The roller fairlead mounted on the front push bar with two more clamps and two more bolts.
