If your going to Pismo expecting anything like Glamis, don't go. There wont be any monster, Oldsmobile like hills to climb. There are 2 comp hills. One short and steep, maybe 150-200'. The other is longer and more like a traditional drag strip, 800-1000' long. The rest is a dune jumpers paradise. Make sure your suspension is in top form and go over every nut and bolt on your bike for tightness( silicon or loc-tite everything) The sand there can get pretty well whooped out. Especially if you run the fence line. There are lots of good places to eat there. 2-3 places with mechanics on duty as well as decent parts inventories in case you break something.(BJ's and Artie's) I don't know much about the night life or hotel accomidations as we always have stayed on the beach. If you are planning on camping on the beach, be sure to check the tide tables, get there when the tide is out. It has been awhile sinse I posted last, (sorry).

I added the fuel injection system and the intercoller to my turbo charged 400ex and it screams. I took it to YUMA/DUNES for Thanksgiving. I smoked every 4-stroke out there and most of the banchees..... One super fast banchee blew me away. I guess you can't get them all, but it sure feels good smoking 99% of them. I blew away this one guy with the the new y-450 so bad, he went and got his tricked out 250-R and flagged me down to race again. I wasn't even going fast the first time I beet him. This time I jumped on it and mad him and his 250-r look stupid.

400ex - $5500
turbo,fuel inject, etc. - $3000+
the look on that 250-r guys face (PRICELESS)

Anyways, I promiss I will post some pictures after this weekend.

Did anyone see me run at the dunes? Just wondering? Did anyone see the monster truck?

i primarily ride at pismo (my mom has a vaca home there). i know that Steve's ATV on Grand Ave. is almost always willing to help ne body that needs it. in fact, u find them on the beach (pole 2) and tell them that u need ur quad fixed, u might be able to get them to take it back for u and take care of everything. i bought my 400EX from one of the mechanics there, and i had a honda dealer do some work on it, but decided that they don't know jack about quads with aftermarker equipment, so i let Steves do all the work. i'd love to get some fuel injection for my 400EX, but i wont be the guinney pig for the first models. if ne body knows of a tried and true system, let me know. if u have ne questions about pismo PM me.

 

I would take fuel injection over carburated anyday. But i don't think im ready to spend 1,000.00 for it. Maybe this summer. It would be sweet
