300 EX No Good on the track! A little crash story for you all to enjoy!
#1
I did some riding today on an old MX Track in northern Iowa. After this I decided my 300 EX is going to remain a trail machine! I got in a little over my head on a double jump. It was only about 4 feet high and 15 feet from peak to peak. I thought I would try to clear the thing. WRONG IDEA! I bottomed the suspension on the take off shot up in the air and came straight down and landed square on the rear tires. That bucked the rear up sending me over the bars. I rolled on the ground for a while wondering when I would ever stop rolling. Then the darn wheeler ran me over! It tried to eat me! Thank god for safety gear. I ended up with some bruises a stiff right hand and a mild concusion! I feel fine now that it is seven hours later. My EX never flipped or anything, not a mark on it! I also had to drive 1 1/2 hours home with a MAJOR Headache. I could'nt believe it, I went to the emergency room with head pain and they X-Rayed my whole body! That was a little overkill. All I can say is I should have kept riding my buddy's YZ 250 I was flying on that thing. So, now am going to get a CR 250 this week hopefully for the track and keep my EX for trails. Best of both worlds! Oh by the way I will go riding tomorrow. Have to get right back on the horse right?
