Hey, i am a newb, i went upnorth to ride around on some 4 wheelers, and i got hooked, i was riding some polaris sportsmen 500s, they were cool but i wanna do more sporty riding, and my friend has a 1987 honda fourtrax 250x, is this a good bike, and im only payin 150 bucks, it runs fine accept the transmission is stuck in 2nd gear, and it will cost me 300-400 bucks to get it fixed, is this problem common, if so how do u fix it without breakin your wallet? or is this just a mistake to start with should i get something different? i am on a tight budget soo if any one has any cheap suggestions or anything tell me u can use AIM or MSN to get ahold of me! thanks.

ya u won't beat that price 4 anything. A 250x usually goes at about 4,000 and up so just compare that with $$150$$. As far is the transmission goes thats a good price to so u won't get any thing better than that

 

Is talking about a 250 <u>X</u> not a 250 <u>R</u>. Those quad (even being old) are bulletproof and normally retail over 1500$ (I think) in the states so It looks like to be a really good deal.
