I have a 2003 300ex. If I rev the engine in nuetral the quads seems to sputter. It doesnt do this when I slowely increase the throtle positon, it just does this when i hammer on it. It seems like it was straving for air or fuel. I cleaned the air filter real good and checked plug. The plug was a light black and dry. I changed the plug. It helped but still seems like it is starving for air or fuel. I dont know if 4 strokes throttle response it suppossed to be like this or not. PLEASE HELP!

 

mybe water in the gas or the choke is on??? just a guess

DaSandBomb, If the choke is on it might do that? I'll make sure I check tomorrow with choke off

 

ya, it will start cuting out, oh and i the parking brake on, because on my old warrior i fogot the park brake was on and sombody was there looking at it and it would idle fine in till i gave it gas and then it would start cuting out, it sounded like the rev limiter coming on doing 2mph! but thats really what it was, it was the park brake rev limiter. i don't know if the 300 has one or not ask that matt guy, the 250x should be the same, i dunno
