First service on Foreman 450?
#1
My friend just got a Foreman 450 manual a few days ago and he's ridden it so much it's almost time for the first service. What do you have to do? Or what does the dealer do when you take it to them? I know it involves changing the oil and adjusting the valves, but is there anything else? And are these things easy enough to do by yourself and save a few hundred dollars? Thanks in advance.

I have a 2000 model honda foreman 400 4x4 with 3500 miles on it, and its never had the valves adjusted on it, or been back to the dealer for anything.I would just change the oil, and then if you really thought it needed it, he could have the valves adjusted.I just change my oil every 500 miles, and ive cleaned the airfilter once.Still running original sparkplug and everything. It just wont die!Thats good though.lol

Change the engine and differential oil, new oil filter, and set valves. Everything should be seated and when the valves are set I bet you will notice a power difference. My buddy just went through his first service with his rubicon and it made a big difference.
