Thinking about selling my soul....Help me Out
Hi again. I'm in the middle of a real dilemma. I bought my 300ex at the end of may. It was my first honda and second quad (I'm only 15). I've been pleased with the EX but it's old, outdated it it's starting to fall in pieces (not the engine) and I've outgrowed it anyway so I think it's time for him to go . The problem is that I'm a real honda fan and even more a R one. Only tried one once but I really liked it. Much more than sheeS. The problem is that I was thinking about the money thing. Why sould I pay more than 3000$ to get a 15 years old stock quad when I could get a 99+ well built shee for that price. On top of that, shees are more reliable and not hard to find. Please help me out, I don'T know what to do.

If money is a real issue (it is for a lot of us!), go with what you can afford. The R's will still be around for years and people will still be willing to sell them. And maybe by then you'll have the cash to get two or three of them.
And if by "selling my soul" you mean switching brands, don't think like that. I used to be the same way with Yamahas. That's all my family owned and I was a die hard fan, but I soon found out it doesn't matter what brand it is as long as you're having fun. (ignore my avatar, I just like the color blue )

Go with whatever you can afford. I love my R, but would definetely consider the banshee if I was in the market to spend around 3K. Banshee`s just dont do well in the resale department so you can find a mint one thats a few years old for less than what you`ll pay for someones 15yr old quad that needs to be completely redone. However, I do think that the resale value on the R`s is dropping (especially with all the new sport quads) and you can probably find a real nice one for between 3000-3500. Take a look at ebay they just dont seem to be selling for much more than 3000-3500 lately (except for the aftermarket framed R`s). If your patient you`ll find a nice R within your price range, and if not the Banshee is one sweet ride.

While I think it is great to be loyal to a brand and all, to me, the best quad in the world is the one that pleases ME, I don't care what brand, size, sport or utility,as long as it does what I want when I want, I am happy. Don't feel you are betraying anyone or anything, find a quad you like, and ride and have fun !!!!!!!
