400EX rebuild...help needed!!!
#1
i'm opening this up for ne body who has info for helping me to rebuild my 200 400EX. i'm gonna renew the plastic, powder coat the frame, chrome some stuff ( exhaust pipe, etc.), put new graphics on, new handlebars, and clean everything up. right now i'm thinking about taking the parking brake off. is there some trick to this? ne help or advice is much appreciated. i'm doin this on a budget of about 100 bucks a month. i make $140 a month, but i'm tryin to save money, i wont spend over $100 a month tho. ne chep tricks, or inexpensive, good parts that will improve the look or ride/handling/power/speed will be much appreciated. thanx.

Theres no trick in instlling a pb blockoff take off the cable and put on the block off plate. If you change your clutch perch to say a cr250 perch and lever you can take the wires that go into the little box that lets it know the clutch is pulled in and splice them together.

ok thanx. i think i'm gonna buy the honda repair manual for the 400EX. i've been told that it's an essential for they type of stuff i wanna do. also, i didn't feel like spending $100+ on wheel spacers, so i went out and bought a bunch of washers today. i'm gonna stick them between the hub, and the rim. has ne body tried this? if u think i'm askin to have a wheel fall off, please let me know.
