Default CRASHHHH

Hey, everyone im a new rider i have been out maybe 3-4 times, on my quad, i had a 250x, and it basicly blew up, so i got a 400ex, the first time i tried to jump it, i crashed..., i dont remember what happend, or much of that day at all... i was knocked out, and i almost broke my back... and the jump i hit was maybe 2 ft tall, i was probably alot higher in the air after i hit it but, im just trying to warn any newbies, too the danger, of jumping when your not used to your machine... i have learned my lesson, for a while i am gonna keep at least 2 of my wheels on the ground, until im used to the quad...

im guessing you didnt bring up the front end and endoed it? when you jump you dont really want your front wheels hitting first.... so you hit the gas right before your front wheels leave

Small jumps like that suck. It will almost always kick the backend up. Start out on something that all four tires will fit on at the same time, and build up from there. Good luck

ya defintly find a bigger jump but nothing to big because sometimes the small ones area a b****. Once you jump a big one and find out how much smother the landing is "its like butter". But ya find one where all four wheels fit then build it bigger soon you will be doing supermans in the air lol.

yeah you can always increase steepness, start off with a longer more gradual jump, and go from there.

Sorry about your mishap. I am teaching my 13 year old son to jump. Check out the practice ATV track I made in my back yard. Pictures on my BIO.

Good luck

My Son is 13...riding a 90 cc now..getting him ready for a Honda 250ex. I made a practice track with three hills....one hill is 2 1/2 feet tall.......the other about 4 ft tall........ and the other one which is in the wooded section of the trail is 6ft the track has a spin-out section...and a mud bog on one side.
