Default ATV recomendation

Hello, after years of procrastination I'm finally going to purchase a fourwheeler and plan on buying a 2003 Honda rancher, my question is for light trail riding do I need a 4x4 model? and is the electric shift A good thing? the dealership said they would sell me an new 03 2 wheel drive ES model for 3300.00 out the door is this a good deal? thanks.

that is a good deal and the 2 wheel drive will work fine unless you ride mud.

The 03's are the old body style, so you should expect a great price! The 2X4 will go a lot of places it shouldn't. I personally dislike the ES. There are a few posts running about problems with it.

The ES is the way to go and get the 4x4...that's the point of an ATV... 4WD.
