I need someone who has installed a lift kit to let me know how they got their springs off without a spring clamp. I don't want to take it in to the dealer to have them remove the springs but they are so stiff I can't get them by hand. How did you do it?

 

Why can't you just use a spring compressor?

 

All I have are general tools. I figured I might try using oversized pliers and try that . I was hoping for a home remedy without needing a spring compressor.

 

Do not put the lift on you will BREAK the CV joints in the Rincon. To many guys have broke theres already.

 

If you don't own a rincon, please don't respond, for I am wanting help from experience.
