Default Rubicon vs. Rincon

If you like the Rubi, you should also test the Rancher AT 400. Similar tranny, no low range though. I think first gear is plenty low enough for most situations. The advantage with the AT is the selectable 4x4 and less money. Read through some of these threads and you will see nothing but praises for the AT. If you plan on long trail rides, I would recommend the Rincon because of the independant rear suspension. Makes a huge difference on how sore your butt is by the end of the day. Also, what dealers are you looking at. Steadmans in tooele has great prices, and I have heard great things about them. Get you wife riding. Mine loves it.

Default Rubicon vs. Rincon

I have called Steadmans, Summit and Newgate. Steadman's seemd to have the best price so far and they really love the Rubicon. They are pretty big into hunting and they said the Rubicon is their favorite for hunting.

Still haven't made up my mind which way to go yet. Kinda leaning towards the Rubicon right now. I love the look of the Rincon and the IRS but can't seem to get the Rubicon's tranny out of my mind. Seems like I would really appreciate that when I'm pulling an elk off the mountain....

Wyo--->How'd you get your wife interested in riding? She has zero interest right now. Maybe that will change???

TODD

I PURCHASED A 2003 HONDA RINCON RED ON 12/14/02. AND I LOVE THE BIKE I HAVE PUT 158 JET IN AND HMF SLIP ON PIPE K&N FILTER HIGHLIFTER FRONT DISK BRAKE KIT ALUMINUM PRODUCTS FRONT SKID PLATE AND WARN 3000 WINCH 26' MUDLITES REAR AND 25' MUDLITES FRONT MY BIKE WILL RUN ABOUT 63 MILES AN HOUR ON FLAT ROAD. IF YOU GO WITH THE RINCON I THINK YOU WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY
WITH WHAT THE BIKE HAS TO OFFER AND WITH A FEW MODS YOU WILL DIFFIANTLY HAVE ONE OF THE BEST ATV ON THE MARKET. I ALSO HAVE AN 03 CRF 450 AND LOVE IT TOO.

GOOD LUCK ON YOUR DECISION

Default Rubicon vs. Rincon

We bought both our ATV's at Steadmans. Shane or Bruce are who we have have delt with. We drive past 3 Honda deales on our way there. We will buy our next one there too. I believe they have sold more Rubicons than any dealer west of the Mississippi. Great service department too and they service what they sell. They carry Honda, Polaris, and Yamaha.

No problems with my Rincon. Don't worry about that low range, I carried a 300+ lb hog up out of a river bottom with no trouble at all. The engine braking works fine too. The ride is great. I was worried about the lack of a lower gear at first, but now that I've worked it I love it. Good luck with your choice!
