Default HELP !! 01 rancher electrical probs !!

first off when ever in neutral my rancher will try to start on it's own with key on !!

leaning towards start button or starter relay on this one ..

second recently friend of mine left the key on killing the battery, rechrged battery and tried a spare and get the same problem.

when ever i turn the key on i get no display as if it appears the battery is dead, so when i pull start it(pull start do to above problem) my display will then kinda flicker on and off and headlights seem to pulse.

kinda thinking alternator for this problem but would like some other suggestions.

thanks.

unoki
i dont get into electrical much, but those little push start buttons sometimes stick, usually in. had one stuck out from ice and dirt. try taking it a part and cleaning it with spray electrical cleaner or brake cleaner , wd4o etc.

Default HELP !! 01 rancher electrical probs !!

well i think i got it figured out.

turns out i had a couple blown fuses both 30 amp.

replaced fuses all seems to be working fine.

honda and there infinite wisdom to make a buck or two made it to where you can't just buy a new starter button you have to buy the whole switch console(start button, headlights, high/low beam)

so my infinite wisdom to save about $70 i went to radio shack bought a momentary button(start button) and made it work !!!!
