ya, i know service honda, but they have no oem stuff in stock, they ship directly from japan which obviously takes a while, i need a new plug by this weekend. Thats why i wanted to know if an xr oil drain plug will fit the case of the 400ex. By the way, i shop from ronnies.com for oem stuff, they have always treated me good, plus, they are only a few hours away.

DID YOU STRIP YOUR CASE OR THE PLUG . YOU CAN BUY DRAIN PLUGS AT A AUTO PARTS STORE THAT HAS A FLUTE LIKE A TAP THAT YOU CAN PUT IN . IF ITS YOUR CASE JUST TAP IT TO A BIGGER SISE AND PUT A NEW BOLT(SHORT BOLT) BACK IN

To get you thru the weekend go to local hardware and buy metric bolt. Cost will be less than 1$

you need more than just a bolt unless its already pipe threaded, which i doubt.
