The simple way:
1. Drain the float bowl and gas tank of all gas. Put the old gas in your truck..
2. Spray the carb inside and out with carb cleaner, without taking the carb apart. You can direct the spray at the visible jets and into the empty carb bowl.
3. Refill the tank with fresh brand name gas (Porsche recommends Chevron) with supplemental fuel line cleaner (Techron).

Just make sure you use carb cleaner and not something like WD40.

WD40 is a very light lubricant. The carb needs a strong solvent to cut the varnish residue left by gasoline. Carb cleaner is a solvent and does a much better job cleaning carbs compared to WD40. Also, carb cleaner evapaporates quickly.
