The Rubicon does not have a wrist pin bearing.

 

I was refuring to the wrist pin and the piston which would be in my book the wrist pin bearing you call it what ever you want. And far as the ppl only having the problem with oil pumps and trannies going out it's about halve of them I did where in the mud (6 I put oil pumps and auto tranny some with crank piston wrist pin cylinder),

 

Greg, wish we lived closer, I have been offered $4500 for our 02 Rancher 4x4 ES. I would love to have two Rubicons. What you going to get your wife?

 

I am not 100% sure. I am considering a Rhino. I have two small kids and my intent is to bolt down the tilt bed and complete the roll cage to protect the bed. Then, bolt in two car booster seats with the backs to the front of the bed. Then install 5 point harnesses for the kids and a Tommy Topper for the front and back. Basically, a little jeep. I want a way to keep the whole family safe, and keep me in control, while protecting them from the cold since we ride more in the winter than the summer.

I have yet to put her Rubicon in the paper. I think my asking price is fair given that it collects dust most of the time sitting in the garage. BUT, around here, people ride in mud all the time and 1200 miles is alot. This Rubicon is not a mud quad. We use it in Arkansas and Oklahoma on dirt roads and trails. We can put 100 miles on it in one weekend. So, I need a buyer that will look at hours and condition, not miles. Even the brake drums and pull rope are like new. That may not sound like much were you live, but it is uncommon around here. I live less than an hour from FWP, Sabine River Rats, Shilogh Ridge, Gator Run, and Rabbit Creek. This is the mud capital of the south. I will put it in the paper in the next few weeks and see what happens.

 

i have a 01 and my friend has a 03. just over 2000km i had to put a transmission in it that. the old tranny ruined the motor too but since then no problems that i never caused. the 03 does have a water pump problem tho that honda cant figure out but other than that they are an awsome bike. id much rather have a prarie 650 or 700.

 

That's what I said that the 2000 and 2001 hade some issuses with bad oil pumps taken out the tranny or the crank and piston cylinder,. There all better sence the new parts updated.
