Depending on the exchange rate that might be a bit much. I bout my 2000 400ex for $2800 with a lonestar axel & a white bros pipe (ditched the pipe went back to stock). Since buying mine I have come accross a few between 2-2500k . So there are some deals out there just be patient & keep your eyes open. My buddy is buying a bone stock 2000 400 ex tommorow for $2000 even(the weasel)! Anyway good luck with the search

 

i had a 99 for a while ran good nothing broke on me then i sold it to my friend and he ran it without oil burnt everything up no longer runs lol...then i got my 02 440ex ran awesom kept blowing head gaskets though so im out of the 400ex business

 

Well I don't know how many ppl had this problem but I work at a dealer and had rebuilt a few 400ex's cause the air filter fell off and the srcew that clamps the air filter on came unscrewed and the motor ate it. So look to see if that is still intack. The fix is too replace with a 2001 or 2001 which is like a radiator screw clamp.
