Default Rincon Low range

I just heard that the Rincon has no low range. Is this true? If so, how well does it pull the heavy stuff, and the hills?

no low range is correct. i am a suzuki guy, so don't blow me off lol. listen: the motor kinda vibrates like ure on a harley, and as far as towing or deep mud forget it. i can hook my vinny up to the rincon and with the rin in 1st and my vinson in high. it is not even a challenge to haul them away. it seems like honda does not know what we want, torque come with gearing honda.

all i know is can't wait for the 05' king quad

Well I'm a Honda guy so hear this. Towing may not be the Rincon's cup of tea, I'll believe this much. However, I know for a fact that Rincon's make awesome mudders. It's already got awesome suspension and ground clearance. Besides, it's not really meant for hard work as much as it's competitors. Just take one look at the styling on it and you'll understand it's more of a weekend warrior than a workhorse. If you want the utility capabilites and towing capacities, enter the Honda Rubicon. Same size engine as the Vinson, but with Honda reliability. Add a Warn 424 kit and you've got a quick trail machine for the recreational riding.

I don't want to start a pissing contest, but the rincon is still a great machine. most people who have one love it. I work mine on a farm all day, and I hit trails in northern WI. I don't ever have a problem with mud. I got it stuck in the swamp once and thats what the winch is for. right?!. It's a great bike don't overlook it

Peace

Well I OWN a Rincon so listen up. It has no low range, correct. There is no need for a low range because it's not like your grandpas lumber wagon used to haul things around the farm. This thing is a sport quad hiding in a utility frame. It is the best at high speed trails. The handling is superb, it's got IRS and you can still make it powerslide if wanted. It can climb hills all day long with no problem and it will absolutely rip through the trails.

Vinson581, you put your Vinson in high range and have a tug off with me. We will see who wins after your belt starts smoking. Pulling a Rincon away in high range? I smell bs.

hmmm kinda funny, never smoked a belt thanks to a dalton clucth kit. i would like to even see your rincon try and outdrag me, i would be laughing my a$$ off when i kick a 650.

MY VINSON

FST cam
HMF exhaust
reprogramed ignition curve, by programma
k&n filter,
jetted
works shocks to smooth the racing
retimed, new chain, different pitch gears.
port and polish
detroit gearless locker

now who do you think will win. i drag z-440's, and 400ex's and cannondales and they are shocked at the power my bike produces

kinda funny honda thinks they can outdo suzuki, and oh yea all you honda guys live in the past trx250r times....

i am not bashing i have a rubicon, all i can tell you though stock for stock the vinson pulls the rubi. can haul much more, does not burn oil.
wheelies. toast the rubi in top end. and is much better mudding and smoothness on trails.

i do have to give honda a big patt on the back for the glued to the trail feel the rubicon has though. and as far as reliability the rubicon has actually broken down, hydromechanical transmission, does do some odd things. and the vinson is the reliable one i has sunk it on three occsasions, and it even after i dry the motor it will get me home, more then i can say for the honda barely being able to start in the winter, thanks to ugh 5 qts of oil. hm hmhmm hmmm. suzuki is the 4x4 of all the ones and hangs with the big bores, no wonder why the mags named it the best 500 cc class machine, and atv tv raves about the vinson haveing as much or more power than a rincon

Blah blah blah, sorry you lost me. You modified a 500, quite a bit, and pulled away a stock 650...not that surprising. It all comes right down to the weight buddy.

By the way, 400exs were surprised by my Rincons power when it was stock. *shrugs* Your point?
Also where did you have your ignition modified? I am looking into having mine modified also, the Rincon is very detuned.

Sadly people do not realize this. I will agree my father has a Rincon with Mud Lites and he can power slide that thing all day and wheelie like nobody's business and it is totally stock engine wise. I love that machine, it is TOP quality.

The Zuks are great and so is the V-Twin Praire. I love 'em all! These are great times.

i sent my ignition down to programma in florida, i live in new york, so i UPSed it. programma is the one who remaufacture boards and instrament clusters for european bmw's this is also a place that can install racing chips in them. my ignition has 2 curves. 1 is for all out power, and 2 is for a slower powerband for muddy conditions. the power increase was very noticeable and with the stuff i have a can ride wheelies all day long. and as far as your rincon, i think they are great bikes. i guess a bike fits a person and what they do with it. i have a honda rubicon, polaris sportsman 500 h.0 and a suzuki vinson, and lt230e. l\
\\

like i said hondas and all the brands now adays are pretty darn good. iv'e ridder a rincon, and i can tell you they are fine bikes, i guess it is just what you tastes are, i prefer the ability to race mine, and just like it as a all around trail bike

Well I work at a Honda dealer and we tell ppl that the Ricon isn't a work horse type of quad. But I have talked with alot of ppl that have these and have no problem doing what they didn't think that it would do either. I have a 85 honda 250 and I am amazed of what it can do sometimes. The one thing I do know is that we aren't out spending extra cash trying to compet with others and we are riding ours instead of sending our parts out to be reworked to get out of it what we already have. My Honda will out last and get more out of it when I sell it cause it is stock and not trying to find someone to buy one that is modied. Far as who can drag who in a tug a war I might not win but my Honda will be the one draging your dead quad into the salvage yard.
