The Rancher lights are 30 watts i believe. How big can i safely go. Are there 30 watt halogens available for the rancher?. Who has done what to brighten up their rancher?

I've got the same quad and I am curious what people have done also. My buddy just replaced the bulbs in his '95 Wolverine with the same wattage halogens and they made a huge difference. I thought my rancher's lights were way better than his old ones, but the new ones smoke mine. They are brighter, but also much whiter than factory. He bought them at the local dealer for 20 bucks a pop.

Thanks for the info....do the halogens burn any hotter? Just wondering about any melting plastic possibilities.

They don't seem to be any hotter. In theory, they are still the same wattage as the old ones, just whiter and brighter.
