Default 35 pony gain on a blaster! Yeah Right That is what I said

I went riding yesterday with some guy a friend of mine knew. We were riding on this track(we were at Red River ATV)and pulled over for a rest. He was telling us about his blaster and that he was wanting to do some mods on it. Anyway he rambles on til I hear him say that he is going to get 35 ponies out of a performance alum. airbox and everthing else stock. I damn near hit the ground laughing listening to this guy tell me that his blaster was putting out about 55 ponies. Anyway moral of this story don't listen to the dealerships because most of the people that work there are just salesman. Oh yeah my buddy i ride with has a raptor and i a 400ex. The guy that went with us was about 6'0" 240. You should have seen how little this blaster looked.

I saw the humor, but not until I read it again. I edited this because it did not fit your post.

I've seen a dyno sheet of a 295 Blaster on alky hitting 51hp. My buddies 265 on gas did 38 and change on MMI's dyno.

Watch for this bike in one of the mags this year, it will have an alky 550cc engine [ stroked YZ490 ] in it and a host of other special goodies. The parts are here for the engine it's time to strip it down and get it built.

Crap dealers
I went to one not far from me a couple of years ago and asked if he had any second hand sports qauds for sale He asked me if i had owned an atv before when is said know his eyes light up.

He then showed me a new blaster that would be in my price range and would be fast enough for all my atv needs. (dunes in my case)

I am 30 years old 5`11" And weigh about 190 lbs

Fortunatly for me i have had motocross bikes and road bikes on and off since i was about 14. and i saw him for the sh*t head he was.

Its a fine bike for a beginner and if i had no experiance i would have thought it was fine for a couple of days then been looking to trade in.

I have never been back. another lost customer.

Sorry but a few of you guys are not seeing the humor in this because the guy told me that with the airbox mod only he would pick up 35 ponies. We are not talking about tricking the bike out we are talking about stock except for the airbox and picking up 35 ponies. Sure you put enough money into anything and you can get 35 ponies out of it. Surely you will see why i laughed now.

Sorry, I am not 9 years old. And yes it is 500 cc.
"if this was an adult he is naive. and needs to start reading the forum that will wake his @ss up" May I ask how old are you? I don't believe there is anyone in this forum in the same league (probably too wide of a comment, sorry if I step on someone toes) as my friend or the people who built his engine. Maybe you should hang around my friends so you could have your a$$ woke up.

Why are so many people in this forum so much more educated than everyone else, or should I say naive? Maybe you do need your a$$ woke up or something pulled out of it. I guess no one can have something like that because you don't.

Do you believe me? I could care less.

Here is a little of what my friend had to say in his e-mails. His sponsor only builds a handful of these a year. From what I have been told he is very well known in the upper ring of professional ATV racing.

" i am leaving this saturday for santee california...my engine sponsor has developed a new /faster engine than the one i have...mine dyno's at 68 hp....stock is 34-36 hp...the new one will have in excess of 90+ hp!!!!!
i will be there for a week of testing and tweaking he pays for all room and meals while i am there all i have to do is get there and the rest is covered...
this motor will sell for almost 11,000.00 retail...i might pay as much as 1500.00 total or less for the engine....i can't wait..at my age a sponsorship"

2 weeks later,
"yes I have an engine and it is the scariest thing I have ever put between my legs....I sent a few shots of it and the power info as well....a stock banshee has 17 ft lb's of torque mine is over 56 !!!!!"

"I was in cal .for 2 weeks instead of only 1 like I thought but it was the best thing I have ever done for my racing...this guy is the most knowledgeable man I have ever met in my life...his skills made me seem like an amateur
too much info to write in one e mail but man did i learn a lot....what a trip....
call me if you get time...and if you want....i am back....tim"

this e-mail has 21 picture;
"well here it is ...2 weeks of solid non stop work and effort....the end result.... a 90 plus horsepower monster...after these photo's were taken we put it on the dyno...and it burned up every clutch set we had in stock!!!!! too much power for the clutch system.... finally had to lock the plates down with the last clutch we had to use so we could get a few runs on it....no clutch, but oh the power it made....over 56 foot pounds of torque!!!! triple what a stock motor will make !!!! and then the test ride...with no way to disengage the clutch...what a scary thing that was...so much power you could not use full throttle on the pavement...nothing but wheelies!!!
in 3 gears!!!! couldn't get into 4th 5th or 6th...not enough room..."
