black knob on 300ex carb

I just went down stairs to see if my 300ex carb is opening all the way. It was only opening about 3/4 the way open so I adjusted that.any way there was a little black **** on the back of the carb by the airbox boot I was wondering what this **** was for????

moded 86 trx250r
moded 87 LT500R
97 300ex
96 warrior
90 blaster

were did you adjust it at? what did you do?

I pulled the airbox boot off and then I took the black cover off the handlebars.pulled the black cover off the throttle cable then I held down the throttle (with the gas off)and wiathced until the carb slide was wideopen. then I took some piueers tightened the little nut up on the throttle cable then. I reoinstalled eveeything.

ok then that's what I thought. I already adjusted my throttle cable at the thumb throttle.later

I didn't even know there was a black **** on the carb. lol Tells ya how much I have to work on my.
