Default rincon help

i have a 03 green rinny with about 750 miles on it. when i first brought it home it would do 65mph. after the first service and now second it tops out at about 60mph. i live at an elevation of about 3,800 to 4,000 feet. i have no exp with carbs and was wondering if a dyno jet kit would void the honda warranty? i bought the extended warranty so i dont want to blow it. can anyone with exp give me some advice.
thanks

Default rincon help

I would not do it. I do know some people that have done things that have made it void, BUT they were things BIG, like a big bore kit and stuff. My uncle works for Honda, and I could ask him for you. But I have no clue at this point. I have seen friends get Hondas and have ask me the same question, and I just told them to not do anything. But my uncles job is VERY new (about a half a year) and he did not have it when they ask me.

But if I have anything to say right now, it would be to NOT do anything at this point.

But if I can get a hold to my uncle, I would be happy to try to help you by asking him.

You should ask the dealer who's doing your warranty work. They make the ultimate decision in most cases. IMO, a modification doesn't void your warranty unless there's a chance it caused the problem. IE. if you install a lift kit, it would make a broken driveshaft your baby, but it wouldn't void the warranty on your regulator\rectifier. I guess I try to be fair, most of the Honda tech people I talk to do too.

A dealer will not know if the unit is jetted or not unless there is a problem that you complain about that is going to involve them pulling the carb and checking things out. I have done quite a few jets kits on rincons in the past few weeks and have had no issues and the bike runs so much stronger, ie wheelies take no effort.
