1st truly comparable 450R vs YFZ dyno report
#12
This is the first dyno I have seen where the R is even close. In dirt wheels, and on HMF's own website, they read the yfz has a 4-5hp edge that reads the same HP or 1 less then a Raptor. And when you pipe both bikes, the gap widens. It's no secret that the YFZ responds to mod's better.
BTW....is there any nifty secret's like the CAM MOD for the R that jumps the HP up by 4 or 5?

That was a load of crap and i did not look at the dyno. If anything Dirtwheels went out of there way to close the gap for there loved honda. I dyno all the time, it is not truly that hard to manipulate the dyno. I just went and looked at the dyno. I call BS.
By the way what happened to the first 5 dyno runs?

So 14mins, you call BS, eh?
What kind of support do you have to back up your claims? A bunch of false, misleading, and/or half truths like you've posted in the past?
You want to call BS - I'm sure you can find Lazarus's phone number if you have half a brain and talk to him yourself, he's a fellow YFZ owner and will tell you straight up what the differences are. He's dyno'd both, been in both engines, etc --- have you - or are you paper racin again?
Is the reality that these two are going to be much closer than you first thought not settling well?

Looks like Hondas "midly tuned" engine is making almost as much peak HP as Yamahas "highly tuned" engine. But the Honda makes more horsepower throughout the powerband (excluding peak power) and makes a much smoother and much higher torque number throughout the band.

i have not rode the yfz but ive ridden the 450r last weekend bone stock and all i can say is that torque is absoulutly smooth and amazing ...reminded me of a old rm125 powerband only smoother....very sweet ride..also kicked over very smoothly:^)
