Is the 450r's tall first gear really a problem? In about 3 months i might be purchasing one and i ride at deepwater missouri which has an open track, tight trails, and some not so tight trails, and i was just curious if the tall first gear is really a problem, and if so, which sprocket do you recommend i change? Thanks. Jeff

 

It's not a problem just some people find it too high. Wait until you get one and try it out and see for yourself. I'm running a 13 tooth sprocket on mine now and it works for me.

 

I just got my 450r today and i do not think the first gear is too tall...in my opinion the 450 has so much tourqe you can not even tell if the first gear is tall
