Default Paddles for the 450R????

I am partial to Skat-Trak Edges. I was thinking 8-paddle??? These do well on the Z400. I think they should be fine on the R. I have a pair of 10-paddle Edges sitting around (the result of an expensive experiment!). You think 10 is to much for such a light bike????

8 will be fine. What were the 10's for?

For some reason, I thought the Z could pull the 10's. With that many paddles, the bike kind of rides up on the paddles, and doesn't scoop enough sand. Plus, they are kind of heavy. They aren't on rims, and I don't really want to mount them just to find out that it is a bad idea.

I hear you, I've had a few paddle experiments that went wrong too!

What about the new SandStars?. I personally haven't tried 'em but I hear they're great paddles for all around riding and hook up real well for drags. Just a thought.........

I've heard good things about the sand stars too. Pretty much any of the 8 paddle tire will work is what I was saying. I don't really recommend a brand or straight vs. vee too many people have their own favorites and the thread becomes a my paddle is better than yours.

For a fast ride, I'd put the 8 paddle skats on your new Honda
and put the 10 paddle on the old EBAY.

I tried 8 and 7 paddle haulers, 20x10x10. I had better results with the 7 paddle. But it was harder sand than normal. I think 7 or 8 is fine.
