What would you change on the 450R????

Nearly everyone that follows this forum knows that it is a chilly day in hades when I begin to speak fowl about a person. Therefor it is easy to understand that Tellico, you bring out the worst in me. If we met in person, maybe- just maybe, you could be tolerable; but on this forum site you spew forth too much stupidity for me to constantly bottle up all pain that I feel when reading your posts. There has to be a relief valve and it is in these words that I type. Your consistant badmouthing of anything other than the YFZ is intolerable. And before you reply with the answer of: "Just don't read my post's," you must realize that in order to get a good feel for the thread one must read nearly all of the replies. And since you reply so often and so rudely, your posts are unavoidable. You called me a Yamaha Hater. This is a first for me. How could I hate Yamaha's when I had the gumption to buy my wife a Polaris(probably the most hated brand of all)? I carefully considered all my options and I felt that the Trailblazer 400 was the hands down best choice for her. It has been a good quad and I do not regret buying it at all. My enjoyment for quads spreads to all brands that produce viable atv's. Why would I not consider Yamaha to be among this group?
In reality, I have not ridden either of the two machines in question- but I have looked inside the Autobot matrix of leadership and I see the Yamaha being a more formidable competitor on the mx track by an extremely slight margin. However, I also see that the Honda has a larger fule tank (I like), smoother suspension (I like), broader torque band (I like), same wheel bolt pattern as other honda sport quads (I like), and thanks to KGB; I now know the decideing factor- a 400ex axle will slide right in (I really like). All of these factors are pointing ME towards the Honda. My dislikes are few- Kick start.
You see Tellico, to point out the differences and to have a favorite is cool. But to slander one and close up you tiny little mind is blatent stupidity. I have seen the YFZ in action, I rode an MX track with one nearly all day long. It is a superior machine to MY 250R. But, since I think they will be so close in performance and around here I don't know anyone who will let me ride either, I must make my decisions on what people tell me. This is where you come in, Tellico.
You see, you are useless. I have yet to read anything other than mindless pi$$ing matches from your keyboard. I try sometimes to dissern some statements that seem as if they are in code, but alas they are just more of the endless stupidity that you flow forth so rapidly. You said that the best of the best are not conserned with a smoothe power delivery. I don't doubt that "Bubba" can make any engine sing, but if you could smoothen out the power delivery without changing the peak engine performance nearly every rider on the planet would be a better, faster rider.
More importantly than observing the best of the best- let's talk about the average rider, the ameture racer, or even the local pro's. A peaky powerband is known to kill the stamina of even the best riders. I do not know your racing history (although I am quite sure it is mostly bench racing), but after as little as 5 laps on an MX track most riders are ready to colapse. The rider with the smoother power band will be able to finish strong. It is straight out idiocracy to think anything else.
So to end this lengthy thread with grace and style I will say that I understand that you will be posting again, and quite possibly flaunt your seemless abilities to quote my thread and follow it up with more of your words from Stanley's Giant Book of Stupidity in an effort to prove that you can pi$$ further than anyone east or west of the mason dixon line and that no one should mess with an Alabamian (follow sentence with a good healthy spit).
Ahh, the curse of the smart man is to live amongst idiots. That is an original quote by yours truly

i completely agree with everything you have just said. Tellico has turned valuable threads into an argument about how cool the yfz is and how much everything else sucks. We all get your point. Nobody wants to listen to you blab on about it. You have made me turn away from several threads when i see they are updated because i just dont want to read your crap. I think it is sad that everyone else is forced to have to put up with your behavior. I hope you grow up soon and provide something more usefull to this website.
To the original post. Lets try and keep this one on hand from now on.
I would change the fact that its so wheelie happy. Maybe others dont notice this because of their riding habits but i know that when i ride it, it sure does want to wheelie. I hate having to sit on the gas tank when i want to climb tall steep dunes. Everything else i am pretty happy with.

Personally, I think the 450r has a better appearance..functionality of the front fenders is not a major issue since my Rap front nose piece is for looks only. Several years back we all would love too obtain one of these new machines...lets enjoy them. Later gents.

You could probly have a couple friends if you wern't so d@mn annoying. and if you really liek 4 strokes more then youl like the TRX more huh
I prefer 4 strokes!!! I rode 2 strokes for over a decade!! Your just another whiner and throw in the name calling just to sum up your maturity level!
By the way, I am sorry if my use of exclamation points bothers some of you, its a habit! You will seldom ever see me use any other form of punctuation
Now let me answer this question once more with my true feelings and without my "blue lense glasses" on! What would I change about the 450R? I dont really see a need for a reverse, just me, doesnt really need a starter either, I'm so used to it that it wouldnt be a problem for me! So what would I change??? Nothing!!! They are both such wonderful machines that the only thing I would do to change them would be to modify them and make them even better!!!! Again, sorry guys!!

After riding my 450r i think i would want a lower first gear ratio, i barely got out of that gear today. Oh well, can always change the sprockets later on. Some type of shroud on the gas tank wouldve been nice. Im just picky and like my stuff looking nice, for me it may be a problem keeping that scratch free, we'll see.
I was looking at the YFZ for awhile but realized im probably only going to be trail riding, only a couple mx events. The 450r holds more fuel and yah the seat it softer. Yah, yah, yah, you heard it before, but after owning a CR250 my tailbone needs a rest.

I also think it needs a lower first gear or else maybe a six speed transmission.I found that I have just changed my riding style to ride faster in first gear.Other than that i love my 450!

hey guys.....anyone ever actually weighed these quads?? the 350lb mark is claimed...and personally i dont believe that the yamaha can save the weight of a starter and a battery, and another cam with a frame that appears to have much the same dimentions (or close) to the honda.....does the honda have some mysterious weight hidden in one of the frame rails?...if anyone can tell me what the weight difference is...id be glad to hear it.....sorry yami guys....i dont believe that your 450s are 350lbs
id be real interested in weighing both of these quads...
