Durablue cover or is it true???
#1
Alright, I found this on durablue's site about the 400ex swingarm and axle setup which I'm sure most of you have too, but it left me wondering. Durablue axle disclaimer. It basically says that the swingarm angles down so much that if you land with your nose in the air it causes a "jam" effect, making all force of the impact being taken away from the shock, and making it relatively useless. Therefor causing all of the shock to be sent into your axle, which is why the axle will break so easily. Now at first I was thinking man these guys are reaching to cover their @sses. But the more I thought about it, it seemed kind of true. When I'm jumping my ex, for some reason it seems to land easier if I land with the front tires before the rears, instead of rear before front. Which on every other sport quad I've ridden it's been the exact opposite. So I guess my question is, Is durablue covering their @ss for cheap axles or is there actually some truth in their statement???

Well there is some truth to the angle of the swingarm putting stress on the axle. but it's funny how the other axle makers don't have a problem with it.
Now on the other hand I have had a Dura-blue axle in my mojave for 4 years and have pounded the crap out of it and NEVER had a problem with it
