Default trx vs yzf at dumont

I raced plenty of yzf's this weekend at dumont.I could out run the stock yamahas 450's all day. the piped 450's could beat me by 2 or 3 quad lengths.I also traded rides with my friend, the yamaha does not handle as good as the honda.the ride is alot ruffer and the motor vibrates way to much.if you want to ask any questions feel free to get a real honest review.

did you try climbing a big steep dune yet? Have you noticed that on the trx you have to sit on the gas tank or else you will be wheeling up the whole damn thing?

i hated climbing on it compared to my yfz. I can sit back on my yfz and go as fast as i want up as steep of a hill as i wanted. In fact when we are climbing banshee hill at winchester bay ( pretty steep very narrow hill climb) i usually end up passing other bikers who go in front of me. But when i was on the honda i had to sit on the gas tank and be extremely careful. Maybe its just my riding style?

I rode a 450 yama this weekend for the first time. It seem like a good bike i didn't notice a big difference in the front ends of the two bikes

I think the front end thing will just comes down to personal preference. I do find the YFZ front heavy for my taste. The TRX front end is light, but not at all "wheelie happy". I do probably sit a bit more forward than most riders. I like to lean on the front end and make it carve. But even on the killer steep hills I have in the canyons behind my house, I can sit back for traction without any worry about wheelieing the bike out from under me.

So, adunealine, you don't have the HRC kit, correct???

I saw plenty of 450r's NOT racing in Glamis, and a bunch of yfz's that where. But the one I did see at the flat drags losing by about 2-3 quad lengths to a yfz, no pipes on them. They raced like 5 times that I saw
