I was wondering if any of you Rubicon owners opted for the extended warranty, seeing how there is so much new technology on this machine. I'm a little leary of first product year items. Also, how much is the ext. warranty on the Rubie?

What was the main reason you got the ext. warranty? Anyone else have an opinion on them?

I bought mine just to be cautious. The rubicon is a brand new machine that is as far as the public goes unproven. I started not to purchase the warranty due to Honda's reputation, but the cautious side of me told me to buy it just to be safe.

I dont own the Ruby, but I do have a 4x4 and there are alot of parts that ''COULD'' go wrong and are very expensive to repair. The 4 yr extended warrenty cost 500 dollars with a 25 dollar deductable.I have used the warrenty on my Sportsman, damn glad to have it.====Bill

Rubione is correct. I checked and mine was $540 for the 42 months. I got it because compared to insurance, which I also have, it was relatively a cheap investment. If you consider what parts cost and labor, it is not too bad.
