I will asure you a well built 440 makes easy work of 686's and banshees and ds's and yes kenz has done some work on mine too. And gary ill pull 4th gear like a train on steriods im sure speed will tell you my 440 is just coming on at 300' as i can tell you his is bloody fast.And steve its not the bike but the build[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

AZSAND what dunes do you ride? Id love to see your 400ex make some runs. I have no doubt in my mind it will smoke my raptor from what ive heard about it.

 

Actualy i will be in oregon for sandfest this year and thye important thing that people loose sight of is mine and speeds are 100% dunner's these are not drag only bikes.But manual i ride gordon wells @ the imperial dunes and i do some glamis too.

I didn't start this thread to hassle raptor owners(we are on the honda forum) I just wanted to know if there were any 400ex owners that are not happy with their bikes performance. As AZsand said his bike and mine are duners that can run the hill also. If you don't believe my 440 can outrun a 686 up Olds hill all you have to do is show up and watch. It is a high compression piston with cam and carb as well as some port work. I have run it all season as well as last summer in the 110 degree heat without any problems at all. I will be at Glamis on the weekend of the 13th and 14th of anyone cares to join me in some racing and I can assure you it will pull 4th gear up olds hill that is with 21x12x8 haulers on it.

 

Badraptor02 if you have Kenz build your rappy I gaurantee you will be very happy and Dunerider33 I hope to see you at Glamis on the 13th I will definetly be at olds most of the day. Sorry guys I don't have any pics but I'll take some and post them. It just lookd like a stock 400ex with a +4 swingarm and shaved plastic the magic is inside. I can tell you there are certain pipes that work a lot better on 400's that others do. My build at Kenz will cost you around $2500 to run with 686 raptors and YfZ's with pipe,jetted,airfilter and cam mod.

 

Stevo400ex if you want to keep up with yamaha660r after he gets his motor back from craycraft you better send your motor to Kenz for a makeover and it will definetly run with his bike then.

Whew you guys are animals, Speedman I haven't started mine up yet but today is the day, here is what I got, I keep the stock bore went to a wiseco high compression piston stage 2 cam carb work K&N no box, head was flow to the max ported polished exhaust the piston top polishished 5 angle valve job, bronze valve guides, heavy hp springs larger valves head and jug quenched tight to bump compression to 13:1, man I'm excited I built this to hang with my predator buddy, will I..I don't know , I left the stock bore to keep heat down, many magazines showed on minimal gains going to a big bore 440 we will see. I will keep everyone updated! PS...I run 114 octane have too!
