'Brockz, We agree one at least two things, K&N filters and you're right, removing the lid will change things, mostly it leans out the mixture. Theres some varibility built into the exhaust system, and it can accomodate a modest increase in flow. But if youre after meaningful increases, in power, the stock pipe has got to go when the front end is improved.

Yes, I totally agree. If you don't have to jet, its not doing anything.

Quad are usually jetted a little rich from the factory. Just adding a K&N puts it closer to where it should be.


If you add a pipe, or take your air box lid off, you will have to re jet.
