Do i have to premix fuel on a 86 atc 250R

Default Do i have to premix fuel on a 86 atc 250R

I dont know a lot about 250Rs so could someone give a anwser on this please. Thanks for any replies

If you are getting one you should learn fast. On those 15 year old 2 strokes top end rebuilds and re ringing are common afternoon activites.

guess you better stick to your 4-stroke then

I havent had to do a top end rebuild in 2 years.

Mix your fuel at 20:1 until you get the hang of your jetting. Then once you figure out what is going on you can go to 32:1

You should be fine with 32:1. 20:1 tends to be too rich. but it also depends on if there are any mods or a rebuild. Knowing a little history of the bike will help. But like I said earlier, 32:1 will be sufficient.
