Are you honestly ripping on his lt R? Looks like a nice original bike to me. BTW in a straight line that quadracer would spank an ex, more hp and much lighter. Just because it's old doesn't mean it's slow, go line up with a 85-86 ATC 250r or t-3 and you will get spanked. I've even heard of 350x's taking out z400's, doesn't really suprise me though due to the weight advatage and close hp ratings.

 

havnt read all the details,,,but that is a pretty nice LT,,,,and just about any lt will eat any 400ex,,,, except for maybe a few!!
