i am looking for a 400ex and found that said this: 2002 YELLOW HONDA 400EX dg nerf bar, jet kit, white bro. exhaust pipe (e-series), rode very little $3250 cash: he said that it only had about 4 tanks for gas.for some one 15 this is a lot of money(and to just about anyone). i really dont want to get riped off. do u feel that this is a good deal that i should jump on?

Where is this ad located? If you can go see the quad before you buy it, obviously do that. If this is an eBay sorta deal, ask him to use escrow.com. Otherwise, I wouldn't risk that kind of $$.

 

it is in a trader and if i buy it i will look at it first for sure but how ever, this quad if 5 hours from my house and dont want to waist that time if i dont have a good chance of it being worth it

 

i agree with red goblin,see if he'll let you ride it,if it feels right for you ,get it!

Prepare a list of questions, EXAMPLE Has it been rolled? Why are you selling? Is anything bent or broke? Call the ad and ask lots of questions. Maybe the guy selling needs to come up with money real quick. Sometimes you can get a feel if something sounds fishy or not , after talking to the seller. Good Luck!

nah - just wait - i waited 2 months before geting my 400ex, i just got it tue. night --- it's an 02 with DG front bumper, DG alloy nerf bars, brand new mudshark tires *rear*, and bull body bash/skid plates. It took me 2 months to find this 2002 at 2500.00. Just wait. --- i'm 14 so i know how you feel man.
