They did. They did their homework on this one.

Well dude, stock hi performance quad verses modded hi performance quad, I wouldnt be surprised in the least if a modded 250r can beat a stock 450r depending on mods, but a modded 450r verses a modded 250r, i think the 450r would be better. IMO
Man you are absolutely clueless. Of course a 450r will beat a 250r stock. the 250r was built 18 years ago in that time it was king and ruler of all and was until a little while.te 250r was AWESOME considering when it was built but is the 450r better than it considering it had nearly 2 decades of new technology built into it? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
How am i clueless again?? and how do you figure the 250r is better?

Hondaracer305, to be honest I had mixed views of it. I don't think the magazine lied at all but it is definetely a great quad. The front end does like to wheelie (which I thought was fun but can be a draw-back during racing) and it does seem to be a little unstable when you enter the turns hard. I rode my 250R for a year or two before I widened it so I can control the tipping by leaning far-in while maintaining control but the 450R could definetely use a wider axle and a-arms. The power was good but I just like the powerband of a 2-stroke. I still feel more comfortable on a YFZ( which I have also ridden) because it truly has similar characteristics to the 250R. We all have our own opinions which is fine. I just prefer the more aggresive nature of the YFZ and 250R.

" The trx didnt have that low end as well as a mid rpm hit"

Just the opposite of EVERY magazine test.Another GREAT review here.....

Have you guys heard about this new Suzuki 450 that is coming out? If the Z400 is as competitive as it is I'm anxious to see their new track-built quad. I may not be a fan of 4-strokes but I love how fast our sport is growing.

He was talking about Farr racing the 450R - buddy, he gets paid to do it. I don't think he will be on it again next year unless things improve a lot. That thing might be costing him a championship. Ask anyone who has talked to him about it or seen him around it, he hates that thing. I would almost guarantee he won't be on it again next year.
