450R falling short?
Thanks lilthumper. You nailed my reason for this thread exactly. If you read my original post you will see that I am a die-hard Honda fan too - that is all I have ever owned. I was just looking for some 450R riders input but all I got was high school level bickering in return.

450R falling short?
1bad250R,
I got one of the VERY first ones. I got it on Jan 28 2004. Nobody had one, besides Tim Farr (factory Honda) before the end of January.
My brother in law has a nicer 250r than you have and he would trade me for my 450R in a a heartbeat. I can beat him easily up hills, out of turns, through woops, around corners, WHEREVER.
Until you put in some seat time, on either a YFZ or a 450R, keep your "opinions" to your self, its laughable to the rest of us who have.

I've heard the 450 will wheelie so easy it is just not competetive with the YFZ. I have no intention of selling my 250R but if I had to buy a new quad I don't think it would be the 450R. I've ridden a YFZ and it felt awfully similar to my 250R. Honda's going to be in even more troulble next year because the CC deplacement maximum for pro racing has been raised from 440 to 450. The Honda is already a 450 but the YFZ is only a 440. You better bet Yamaha is going to bump it up to an equal 450 for the 2005 model year. I'm a die-hard Honda fan but from what I have heard Honda is a little off with the 450R.

Just because I use some slang doesn't make me a bad student. And I think this post of yours shows that you are realizing that YOU are wrong. What is this post of yours? Oh yeah! Another bashing!

1BAD- I didnt see this thread as you bashin the 450, and actually I'm glad it's going. It allows those of us who own one to set the record straight. ALL new quads have growing pains, the difference here is so many people expected the TRX to hand the Yamaha its ****, when it wasn't a clear lopsided whippin people instantly said it was subpar. GIMME A BREAK. Wait till Suzuki releases their 450 then there will be even more debate. Like someone else said it'll be a couple of years before we truely know what quad is better.

Lancaster, I've got enough money that I could buy a brand new 450R cash and then add thousands of dollars of mods on it if I wanted. Keep dreaming my a$$! Oh and KGB......have you ever even seen my bike? I can guarantee you it is nicer than your friends because I just completely rebuilt it - I'm talking bushings, bearings, tie rods, a arms, powdercoat, 3 new shocks, a new swing arm , a new axle and on and on and on. My Duncan racing motor was dynoed last week at 51hp---I'll personally email you the numbers if you'd like (you didn't think I left it stock did you?!). So for you to say I am dreaming for a 450R is laughable. And FASTLANE, why am I even arguing with you........you ride a 300EX! I'll tell ya what when you save up enough of your lunch money and actually buy a mans quad like the 450R then you can talk with the big boys - but untill then why don't you stick to the lil' kiddie threads, OK? Other than SPEEDBUMP all of you make me laugh! I can't wait till I get off of work to come home and read these posts. I'll race any of you on my 250R anytime!
